Senior Sales Representative

Job Description:
5+ recent years selling complex UNIX, Linux, and Windows solutions into large corporations (mid-market and/or Fortune 1000), universities, and government accounts. While a track record of successfully achieving quota goals is required, greater emphasis will be paced on a history of consistent customer satisfaction and strong vendor relationships. Individuals should be experienced with large scale project implementations, long sales cycles, and high dollar purchases, while simultaneously being able to manage small yet critical needs for existing customers. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong product knowledge and the ability to use that knowledge to recommend the right products for a variety of situations. Strong ethics and "customer first" practices are a must.

Requirements:

  • Minimum BA or BS degree from a major university, sales or technology background a plus.
  • 5+ years strategic sales experience selling either IT services or storage software and services directly to Fortune 1000, universities and government entities.
  • Services business development from storage vendor strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding sales quota.
  • Strong understanding of the current IT marketplace.
  • Strong consultative sales background. Can understand needs and working with delivery organization can translate these into effective proposals.
  • Experience having worked in or with partners and inside sales organizations.
  • Self-starter with ability to move into new areas quickly. Must have proven relationships with existing accounts in the region.
  • Excellent organizational, communication skills.
